Corona Virus Suggested Working Solutions for Employers:-

08UK’s Solution to a potential UK lockdown scenario

At our humble 08UK offices in Heaton Moor we have decided to implement a rotation system to help minimise contact between employees.
Within our Operations team for instance, Sally, Emma and Gareth are all working set days and office times along with working from home to keep themselves separated.

We can continually assure you that we are here to help you keep your business running, we are well prepared for the possibility of the coronavirus escalating. We have therefore implemented the following business practices:-

  • New Hygiene requirements and stricter cleaning regime implemented by entire team (As mentioned at the beginning of this article).

  • The office is separated into four spaces with strict rules regarding staff physically going into certain areas.

  • Only one member of our team in the office at any time with all working practices handled remotely.

  • Ensured all employees desks are at least 2+ metres away from one another to reduce risk.

  • All our staff have been issued with laptops and appropriate hardware to enable remote working outside of 08UK locations should this be necessary.

  • We have reviewed our staffing levels, and will continue to make adjustments to mitigate any potential risk.

  • We are reviewing planned maintenance activities and change requests to ascertain if these should continue or be halted.

  • We are following all PHE guidelines on self-isolation, and staff who are able to work remotely whilst in isolation will continue to do so.

  • Whilst we’re confident we have sufficient core network capacity, a number of our services rely on broadband connections, which may experience congestion as unprecedented numbers of people work from home. Where there are isolated voice quality or one-way transmission issues, we ask that you ensure all local checks are carried out before raising a fault.

Apply latest PC networking clever technologies

At 08UK we have implemented some new technologies to help enable our various teams to work remotely from home.

We have put the following systems in place to enable colleagues to work from home.

  • Office 365 enables all members of our team to access emails and access any shared documents from any location.

  • We use Hubspot CRM meaning our customer database, operational support ticket system and any correspondence can be tracked and accessed by the whole team without confusion

08UK’s vision for helping new and existing customers

At 08UK we appreciate the pressure UK business is under at the moment and the potential impact human isolation might have on your business productivity.

We have decided to do all we can to help this horrendous situation, not only do we want to raise awareness to businesses as a whole but we want to encourage fellow professionals

to adjust their working practices to be Corona Virus friendly environments.

How are we helping our Customers?

  • Continued high levels in Service support regardless of our staff location.

  • Web portal access be provided upon request.

  • A dedicated Operations team available to take your call and make changes upon request.

  • Free new 03 numbers supplied with no charges until September.

(this can help your business route your calls more effectively with people working in and out of the office)

Lastly we’d like to thank you for taking the time to read this article and we would encourage you to share this far and wide to try and encourage businesses to review their current systems to help us beat this horrible virus together.
