Corona Virus - 12th March 2020 - Business Information for employers

The UK based Flybe airline business went into administration just very recently as a result of the Corona Virus and it has been predicted that the financial hit from the coronavirus could reach £87bn this year. The virus is not just affecting peoples movement but is also massively reducing demand for certain products.

Bizarrely the demand for certain products like toilet paper & pasta here in the UK have gone crazy in recent days with supermarkets selling out of certain items.

This virus has no known treatment and has now infected more than 82,000 people in over 47 countries and as of today 12th March 2020, there are now more than 590 cases that have confirmed in the UK with the first death announced only recently.

The Coronavirus outbreak is a wake-up call for all employers to consider how their business may need to adapt should matters call for this.

Offices and business organisations of all types may need to implement disaster recovery plans to try to continue to trade and support their clients during this outbreak.

If you are using virtual cloud numbers you may be able to re-route some of your calls so that some staff (should they need to work from home) can still answer calls, ensuring those staff have access to systems and applications may be an even bigger challenge.
