If you are still using 084 or 087 for complaint or customer service support, following changes to UK law in 2014, that is now illegal.

Any UK company must supply any 01, 02 , 080 or 03 number for use as complaints or customer service care line. No caller should have to call at a higher cost than a standard landline call.

It was also introduced that any UK Government or UK Council’s must use 03 numbers instead of 0845 or 0870. Many went to 0345 or to a new 0300.
