The cost to call 0844 numbers; 0844, 0843, 084 Virtual Charge Numbers

0844 & 0843 numbers cost per minute to call, are service charged at between 0 and 7p at all times from a landline or mobile.

The other access charge is applied by networks chosen to make the call. Mobile networks charge their customers between 10p to 45p/minute (45p is on EE) access charge for no justifiable reason in our humble opinion.

The other access charge is applied by networks chosen to make the call. BT home bundle packages do now allow 0845 to be included in minute bundles – so then 0845 may appear to be charged at less - i.e at the same rate to call an 01 or 02 number.

For all business customers of BT, 0845 is not included. 0845 calls cost (when called from a mobile network) the service charge plus the access charge which depending upon network varies massively between 10p to 45p/minute on EE.

On 1st August 2009 Ofcom made changes to 0870 to end revenue share. Following the 1st July 2015 changes now 0870 number users often have to pay per minute but some 0870 numbers, priced at 13p/minute do offer a revenue again. Make your mind up Ofcom.
